There are instructions on how to vote on here, and the voting period starts on March 3rd. What is different about the awards this time is you will be able to vote for the games yourself. The game is up against some heavyweights as Braid, A Kingdom for Keflings, and N+. Today we were told that this feature in Duke Arcade has caused the game to be nominated for an award in the "Best Innovation in XBLA" category of the second annual Xbox LIVE Arcade awards. We introduced a feature where when you died, you were able to go back to any point in that level you had previously played up to that point, almost effectively negating the need for traditional save games. However, one of them was not geared towards LIVE play. Not content with being just a straight port, we introduced a few features to the game, most of which were designed to take into account the connective nature of Xbox LIVE itself.

Late last year we released Duke Nukem 3D for Xbox LIVE Arcade to much acclaim. They also have a video showing the toilet in action. Warning: Brace yourself for the surprise behind Door No. Yes, this was the age of sprites, so the game's urinals, while functioning, appear to be drawn onto the game's walls with an old, dried-out Sharpie.

The toilets you're about to see can be found inside the movie theater in the game's opening level. I honestly can't recall seeing a toilet in a game prior to this. Here's what they said about Duke 3D: For many gamers, Duke Nukem 3D represents the very first time we discovered a toilet in a videogame. We checked, this is not an April Fools' joke from Crispy Gamer, they're apparently going to spend 30 days talking about potty humour. They started the series with the toilet from Duke Nukem 3D, which you can see below. In this series, they plan on covering the 30 greatest toilets in videogames. Today they're launching the high class look back at games entitled " The World's Greatest Videogame Toilets". Apparently the folks over at Crispy Gamer remember that too. One of the thing a lot of people remember about Duke Nukem 3D is a gag that turns up in the first level, that being an alien trooper sitting on the toilet when you open the door in the bathroom.
